FOCA Meeting – Mon Feb 13th, 6pm – 7.00pm – Hybrid Meeting
Do you have, or know, a student athlete playing the winter season? Do you want to support athletes at CRLS? Do you want to meet other caregivers and help build community across the teams and within Cambridge?
If so, join the Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) meeting on Monday February 13th, 6pm – 7.00pm. We will meet in person at the Athletics Department conference room in the War Memorial Building (door 14 – the CRLS War Memorial entrance Cambridge Street) or join us via Google Meet. At the meeting, we will get an update from the Athletics Director and share updates on current FOCA initiatives: the 35th FOCA 5K Cambridge City Run/Walk, the FOCA store and other team news.
Some winter sports teams (basketball – boys and girls, track & field, unified intermurals) are still looking for team liaisons – caregivers or friends of athletes who will support the students and the coaches, and caregivers. The role is a collaboration between the coach and the liaison, requires no minimum time commitment and is a great way to be engaged in the school. For more information, check out the description on the FOCA website. If you are interested in learning more, please join us at the meeting or email Maija.
FOCA is a volunteer, parent-led non-profit organization supporting CRLS athletic teams and clubs, through collaboration with the Athletic Director, coaches, PE and Health staff and other school and city leaders.
