5k Loop Around Scenic Fresh Pond  
This 5k loop around Fresh Pond, starts and finishes on the service road behind the water building and takes place entirely within Fresh Pond Reservation, along historic trails and pathways and verdant woods. The run is all in nature – no cars! 

Registration Fees
Race Fee: $35 (Day-of: $45) 
College Students: $25 (Day-of: $35) 
CRLS Students & Under-18: Free 
Walkers $35 

Charitable Fund Raiser Race
Fees benefit Friends of Cambridge Athletics, a 501(c)(3) supporting student athletes and teams at CRLS and providing scholarships to deserving scholar athletes, and the Andrea Harvey Memorial Fund, a non-profit advancing education and raising domestic violence awareness and offering scholarships to CRLS students.

Do you have, or know, a student athlete playing the winter season? Do you want to support athletes at CRLS? Do you want to meet other caregivers and help build community across the teams and within Cambridge? If so, join the Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) meeting on Tuesday January 10th, 6pm – 7.30pm.

We will meet in person at the Athletics Department conference room in the War Memorial Building (use the CRLS War Memorial entrance, door 14, opposite Darwin’s) or join us via Zoom (details below).

At the meeting, we will share updates on current FOCA initiatives – the 35th Cambridge City Run, fundraising, team grants and scholarships. 

Some winter sports teams (basketball – boys and girls, gymnastics, ice hockey – boys, track & field, swim & dive, unified inter murals) are still looking for team liaisons – caregivers or friends of athletes who will support the students and the coaches, and caregivers. The role is a collaboration between the coach and the liaison, requires no minimum time commitment and is a great way to be engaged in the school. FOCA is a volunteer, parent-led non-profit organization supporting CRLS athletic teams and clubs, through collaboration with the Athletic Director, coaches, PE and Health staff and other school and city leaders.

FOCA is currently looking for team liaisons for the winter sports teams – caregivers or friends of athletes who will support the students and the coaches, and caregivers. The role is a collaboration between the coach and the liaison, requires no minimum time commitment and is a great way to be engaged in the school. If so, Zoom in and learn about the Friends of Cambridge Athletics (FOCA) on Tuesday October 11, 6pm – 7.30pm (Zoom details below). 

FOCA is a volunteer, parent-led non-profit organization supporting CRLS athletic teams and clubs, through collaboration with the Athletic Director, coaches, PE andHealth staff and other school and city leaders.

FOCA is looking to reengage the Community so that we can support the sports teams more actively, now that the schools have opened up to the Community again. We are looking for interested individuals to help reshape FOCA’s mission, goals and activities. If you have ideas and opinions about ways to support the sports teams, or specific skills that you would like to put to good use (e.g. web-building skills, event management, fundraising, knowledge of businesses in the community), please join us to learn more!
