The 38th Annual FOCA CityRun/Walk 5K & the Andrea Harvey Memorial Walk was a tremendous success, bringing together the Cambridge community on a near-perfect spring morning at Fresh Pond Reservation on Sunday, April 12, 2026. More than 450 runners and walkers of all ages participated in this year’s event, supported by over 100 dedicated student, parent, and community volunteers who helped make race day run smoothly from start to finish.

Participants were welcomed by a vibrant corridor of sponsor signs lining the race way, with 22 returning sponsors and 7 new sponsors. Through the incredible support of our runners, walkers, our community partner Fresh Pond Reservation, and our generous sponsors, we raised more than $18,000 for essential team grants that will directly benefit Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) student-athletes during the 2026–27 athletic season and scholarship funds through FOCA and the Andrea Harvey Memorial Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors at both CRLS and the East Boston High School.

While CRLS covers their 42 sports teams’ basic necessities so that students do not pay to participate in sports, FOCA grants give the teams the breathing room to excel by helping fund such requests as special coaches and pre-season trainers, electronic equipment and practice machines, and team travel uniforms and bags.  Thank you to our sponsors (listed below) for endorsing our race with your generosity and for the lasting benefit it will have on student athletics in the coming year.
